We have just completed decorating a property in Edgware London.
The job was to overhaul the downstairs lounge area including hallway section and upstairs hallway areas.
Firstly our mission was to strip all the walls and ceilings, this exposed the original plaster works and timber cladding that was installed when the house was built. Once completed the fun started, we filled all sections, made good of any blemishes and smoothed out the surfaces using our Festool sanders and dust extractors. We then sanded all woodwork thoughout property, and again, used our Festool equipment.
The next stage of works involved measuring out and re-lining the ceilings, this gave the ceilings an excellent finish. We then applied one mist coat followed by two final coats of Johnstones Covaplus Vinyl Matt, ‘Brillant White’.
With the woodwork prepared and washed we began undercoating, we applied two coats with a light sand between coats to give it that extra smooth finish.
The final stage firstly involved the top coats of paint to the woodwork, we used a Farrow & Ball ‘Old White’ Eggshell, secondly we hung the wallpaper to all wall sections and used a durable washable vinyl wallpaper that was purchased from the John Lewis department store.
Our clients were very happy with the end result, please view our photos below –
